90 Minutes to Close the Loop, Episode 12 & Annual Event

In this episode of "90 Minutes to Close the Loop", we have discovered how recycled content will be part of the decarbonisation strategy of the glass industry and of the whole glass packaging value chain. Additionally, we marked the 4th anniversary of the Close the Glass Loop initiative and took the opportunity to present our glass collection for recycling figures for 2022 in our traditional manner.

The glass packaging industry is leading the charge in sustainability, with a strong emphasis on decarbonisation and boosting recycled content usage. As global efforts to combat climate change intensify, industries are increasingly adopting greener practices. In the glass packaging sector, this means cutting carbon emissions and promoting a circular economy through recycling. They achieve these goals with innovative approaches and key strategies, including the integration of renewable energy and advancements in furnace technology.

Following these insightful case studies, the latest 2022 data on collection for recycling statistics was presented, as well as presentations from representatives of new platforms of Close the Glass Loop initiative.
